Today i went onto Photoshop to pratice for making our digipak. We used some randomly generated sites that gave us something to go on and we imported this information into photoshop. From here we played around with the different tools in the toolbar and the colours. We also imported our own text type into photoshop from 'DaFont.com' Overall i have learnt a great deal from this lesson as i have never used photoshop and found it easy to understand. Now i can use these new skills to begin thinking about my digipak, which i have already started working on.
After using the effects on Photoshop i started to look at other ways i can edit a group photo. We took some random shots that we thought might work for our genre. A band that came to mind was 'Paramore' - a group which has the same fun element that are also in the alrternate/punk genre.
Both of the above are album covers from two different ears. The one above was from the more recent end of the bands time. It shows all the members of the band in a dramatic lighting with hints of colour which show some lightness in the picture. This kind of 'group image' is something that we are going for.
On the other side there is a graphic cover wich is from the album 'Riot' as it is all over the cover. This was from the earl years of Paramore. This is something that we haven't really thought about but also resembles the same genre. The font used also resembeles it as its very scribbily and teenage which would bring in the desired audience of the teens who arent sure who they are and may be searching for an identity.
I will use my knowledge from this to start ideas for my own digipak.
